Expected Behaviour

Yesterday we had an I CAN'T attitude with our learning. 

Students were giving up quickly and not getting their tasks done. 

We had a REFRESH talk and we had a GREAT day!

We had a talk about times that we can eat at school because students are asking for snacks ALL the time. We can eat at 10:30 for morning snack, 11:50 for lunch and 1:45 for afternoon recess.

If students choose to not eat their lunch because they are talking with friends, they will have to wait until recess or afterschool.

We also had a talk about WHEN it is OK to leave and go to the bathroom! Students are asking to go at clean up time, right after a break and DURING our lessons. Students have a morning break, a lunch break and an afternoon break, and they are encouraged to use the bathroom during those times.

Of course...if it is an emergency, I will let them go.

Story prompts are a great way to build ideas for story writing!

We recorded our story vines and we will share them at our March Parent Teacher Conferences.

In Social Studies, we are learning about HOW the bison impacts the ecosystem!

We are having a SWYK tomorrow for sequences! Studnets can practice making and extending different arithmetic and geometric sequences.

We had a new round of Math Centers to help reinforce the skills we have learned; addition and subtraction to 10 00 with decimals, multiplication and division related facts, with 3 digit by 1 digit multiplication and division, data managament and fractions!
