Happy Halloween

 

We completed a guided drawing of a haunted house! Tomorrow, we will use descriptive language to describe the haunted house!

Yesterday, when Mrs. Sloane was away, the class created Tim Burton self-portraits.

We finished our scientific process with the pumpkins!

Happy Monday! 

We had a very tired day! Many students struggled with showing expected behavior during our work time because they were soooo tired!!!

We had a good discussion about healthy sleep habits and HOW much sleep they should be getting so they can do their BEST at school!

We learned about the Scientific Method for a PUMPKIN experiment on Thursday!

PUMPKIN Day 🎃

We started our Pumpkin Day with a Makerspace Challenge

Students then completed a pumpkin sketch and a cross-section drawing!

After...students wrote a descriptive sentence or paragraph about pumpkins 🎃

In the afternoon, students engaged in pumpkin MATH with estimating and measuring

Then came the MESSY part of the day!

Counting SEEDS!

WOW...we had a total of 4 603 pumpkin seeds!

Mrs. Sloane will roast them on the weekend and on Monday, we will enjoy them at snack time!
