Happy FRIYAY

This week we had many discussions about showing expected behaviour while at school.
Students are learning how to deal with conflict with their peers and they are learning how to help when they see their peers in conflict. We have reviewed that students need to ask an adult for help and they are NOT allowed to put their hands on another student. If they put their hands on another student, they will miss the next recess as a reset and a chance to reflect on their actions.

In Gym, students played floor hockey!

Students spent the week putting all their skills together to write their own short stories!
Students worked HARD at creating strong beginnings, describing the problem and attempting to solve the problem.

In Math, were are reviewing fractions.

In Social Studies, students researched the Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Living with the Land

In Art, we read the book Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox
Students made a connection between the characteristics of the animal to themselves to
celebrate how unique they are

We worked on working together and listening to the ideas of others.

We worked hard at being a TEAM

...and we enjoyed the SUNSHINE today!

Next week will be WET! Please consider packing extra clothing!

We will...

...finish the The Wild Robot Protects and compare the THREE books in the series
...continue working with fractions and start working with decimals
...finish their simple machines explanation on Flip Grid
...start their oral story telling felting task
...begin to understand how Indigenous people orally share their stories through songs, drumming, with pictographs on a story robe and through medicine wheels
