Winter Break, Snowman and Pictographs

We had a thoughtful discussion about Winter Break! 

We recognized that some students are excited, but not all students are excited for the break!

Gym was SNOW much fun!

Students used their data from yesterday to complete their pictograph. 

Students had to choose a symbol to represent many-to-one correspondence

Tomorrow we are watching the movie Inside Out!

In Grade 4 students learn how to navigate social-emotional changes such as; self-image, self-confidence, body image, emotions, relationships and social skills. Students are learning how to interact and respond to their peers in a variety of social situations. Inside Out teaches the importance of embracing and expressing a range of emotions, building resilience in navigating social situations.

Today was the LAST day to work on their Alberta Region posters!

Students created a Flip video persuading Mrs. Sloane that their region is the BEST region in Alberta!

These are incredible...Mrs. Sloane is impressed!

Students formulated their own statistical question and collected their data!

Tomorrow they will represent and interpret their data!

Cards, Chain Reactions and Dress to Impress Day

Ms. Mundy, one of our Grade 5 teachers, volunteers at the Alice Sanctuary.

The Alice Sanctuary works with rescued farm animals.

Ms. Mundy will be taking our Christmas cards to the animals over the break!
